Ladybird

Ladybird shows us three women who are institutionalised to protect society and themselves. Elisabeth struggles to separate past from future, whilst the other patients contemplate life in an asylum. This psychological horror weaves the historical development of treatments with changes in awareness and understanding. Frying Pan Alley’s work is inspired by Lisa Appignanesi’s “Mad, Bad and Sad” and Shakespeare's text.
